- Getting In
The building is inaccessible via the front
entrance which is approached by a flight of nine steps. It would
not be possible to make this entrance accessible without making
radical (and unacceptable) alterations to the listed fabric.
There is a ramp in the modern extension at
the back, which gives level access to the Sportsman bar in the
basement, as well as access to a goods hoist.
A platform lift is also provided at a side
entrance.
'You can get a fob
for Teviot inside lift by asking for one at the reception. You
just need to fill in a form, and you can keep the fob for a
whole term (and then renew it if you still need it...).'
[quoted from Muriel Masson on the
Disability Web Forum 28 April 2004]
